Jones is a great buy as he will be a great player in the future. We now need to complete the signings of De Gea, Sneijder and Young. I hope we have a chance with Nasri as well.

This is great news as he can replace the simply awful evans even though he had one good season his performances this season simply dont merit a place in our team for next season whereas jones is quality and tough and is a like for like replacement for vidic and we already have ferdinands replacement in chris smalling
Well done with this transfer Sir Alex And David Gill

And just who said Phil Jones was top of our wish list?
Oh yeah, only the ever-truthful Daily Mail last week – and even then it was all about Liverpool.
This guy’s only just 19. We already have promising 19 year-old centre-backs. In fact we’ve just got another one in Carl Jenkinson who we’ve been negotiating with Charlton over for months.
If anyone here really thinks we’d be spending anything anywhere near £15M on yet another 19 year old defender has to be pretty thick.
And let’s say for argument’s sake Wenger was in for this unproven ‘star’ of Stuart Pearce’s all-conquering hopefuls and he actually went ahead and bought him – what do you think the reaction from the fans would be? ‘Well spent’ or ‘you’re avin a laff’?
When Wenger said we need proven Premier League defending experience and hight I’m guessing he probably meant it. Which is why he approached Chris Samba earlier in the year.
Just another made up story swallowed hook line and sinker by idiots.
