Blues Need To Increase Neymar Offer

The agent of Santos wonderkid Neymar has said Chelsea have had a $35million bid rejected. The Blues are battling Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona for the 19-year olds signature, but have been told they will need to increase their bid if they want to land the Brazilian international. Neymar’s agent said

“Last year we received an offer of €35 million from Chelsea and it was rejected.

“Now the price has gone up and he would not leave for less than 45.”

Blues Track Belgian

Chelsea are set to launch a £9million raid on Racing Genk’s Kevin De Bruyne. The 19-year old was subject to a £5.3million bid earlier on in the year but was immediately rejected by the Belgian club.

A revised £9m offer will be tabled for De Bruyne, but the deal will allow the Belgian to remain on loan for another season with Racing Genk.

A deal for fellow countryman Romelu Lukaku has also been muted, but speculation has recently cooled with the 18-year old studying for exams.

that is an absurd amount for a 19yearold pele won his first world cup at 18 and he was very important to the team, neymar wasent braught, however his quality cant be denied he maybe worth 20-25m and that is pushing it messi is the only player id pay the amount quoted nobody is worth £50m this is scandelous.if santos wait another year they will have a 20yearold palyer who has just played a season he dident want to and wont play perticulary well so his value will half.

Agents always put up prices and play down interest in order to position themselves better for bargaining. The final price will probably be around 35m, but it’s unlikely to come from Real Madrid while they still have Ronaldo (who would overshadow Neymar at this stage). Neymar is interested in Chelsea; if he claims to be indifferent someone should ask him if his ears are hearing what his mouth is saying. Neymar has said he is keen on Chelsea on numerous occasions, the last time being when Brazil played Scotland this year. He did come close to a move to last summer, and I am sure he will be more interested this year. He is at the age when he needs to do something if he wants to be a world impacting player. One thing is for sure, he needs to leave Brazil. He is losing out on the precious experience that his compatriots Luiz and Ramires are getting. If Neymar is really serious about furthering his career outside Brazil, he needs to think how he can assist the team that wants to buy him. He needs to make it possible for them to get him. If he really wants to move to Chelsea, there is little Santos can do about it. It never benefits a team to keep a player that wants to be somewhere else. Liverpool realized this recently with Torres. I think Neymar does have the potential to become the world’s best player (another Messi), but he has to move out of Brazil to do it. The English Premiership is the world’s best league; it certainly gets the world’s best TV coverage, and now days TV coverage is everything. Chelsea has the money, and has shown the interest. The decision belongs to Neymar, not Santos. But he needs to move now.
