Chelsea Target £12m Defender & £40m Striker

By on June 10, 2011

Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin open the doors to a potential move to Stamford Bridge. The Uruguayan international has been a rock at the back for Atletico this season and has confirmed Chelsea made a move for him in January, saying:

“The club didn’t want to sell. Who wouldn’t want to play for Chelsea? It would mean going up a step.”

The 25-year old centre back is rated at around £12million and could follow team mate Sergio Aguero to Stamford Bridge with Chelsea also considering a move for the Argentinean star.

Aguero has already stated his intention to leave the Madrid club, but the Spanish outfit will want at least £40million for the striker who has scored over 70 goals since his arrival back in 2006 from South American giants Independiente. The Sun reports that Atletico turned down a £54million approach for both Aguero and Godin back in January.

It’s okay. The deal will be a perfect one but we need to lure Wesley Sneijder to the bridge.

Fine with all the players that have been linked with Chelsea, nothing wrong with that but,We should firdt bring a coach. Why is it such a complicated issue to name a coach? Didn’t we know that we were going to fire Carlo, and now why is it taking too long to name his succesor? The coach first and remaining will follow.
