Cesc Fabregas

A quick update on Cesc Fabregas’s injury. The Arsenal midfielder is still fighting to be fit to face Barcelona on Wednesday night, but has not yet been ruled out of the tie.

The Arsenal official website has announced that Fabregas has been receiving treatment to severe bruising to his leg and knee after a ‘robust’ challenge by Damien Johnson of Birmingham on Saturday.

But the fact Arsenal have come out and said ‘there is still a chance’ he can be fit worries me. It sounds like he is a real doubt, and i never really considered the fact that he might actually miss out. He did complete the entire Birmingham game after-all.

If he does miss the Arsenal vs Barcelona clash, i will be absolutely gutted for Arsenal, football fans through-out the world and Fabregas himself.

Obviously without our captain fantastic we are going to miss our best player and have far less chance of beating the best club in the world. This game is made for Fabregas and i bet he couldn’t wait to face his old club and show them what they are missing. It promises to be a real footballing treat, but if Cesc misses out the game will be worse off, no doubt about it.

Cross everything that can be crossed, say your prayers tonight and beg that the little man is fit to play.

Can Arsenal beat Barcelona if Fabregas doesn’t make it? Please leave your comments below….

FAB is fantastic for Arsenal…we need him to beat Barca. Arshavin is NOT proving to be as clinical as we thought him to be. Nasri is BOMB but we need at least 3 Bombs to detonate Barca out on our way to the semis

They are not the best club in the world…merely the best team.

    There is a difference.

Arsenal have always and will always be the best club.
