Manchester City and Chelsea will have to wait until July before they make a move for Atletico Madrid’s Sergio Aguero. Aguero has already stated his desired to leave Atletico but has told potential suitors they will have wait until the Copa America finishes next month.

City and Chelsea have both been strongly linked with the 23-year old but face stiff competition from Real Madrid. Aguero would command a fee around £45million but was quick to quash any speculation that any deal had already been done the Argentine said

“A decision about a possible transfer elsewhere will be made when the Copa America is over. At the moment, I don’t know anything about what will happen.”

Real Madrid are favourites to land the son-in-law to Diego Maradona, with the striker adding

“Obviously, I am pleased that a coach like him [Mourinho] talks positively about me. It’s always good to be praised by other coaches.”
