Scott Parker Hoping To Hear From Arsenal & Spurs

By on June 13, 2011

FWA of the year Scott Parker is hoping to secure a move to a London club. The 30-year old midfielder has a contract to 2014 but has a verbal agreement with West Ham’s hierarchy that will allow him to leave if the club were relegated.

Parker has been linked with both Arsenal and Tottenham but his £70,000 a week wages could prevent the England international moving to either club. Both Spurs and Arsenal employ a stringent wages structure, so Parker may be required to take a pay cut to secure a move to either club.

The former Chelsea man does have options outside London including Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa but the Sunday Mirror suggest Parker wants to remain in the capital.

West Ham will look finalise a move for their captain as soon as possible and will expect around £10million for their midfielder.
