REPORTS: Drogba Set For £8m Milan Move

By on June 14, 2011

Chelsea powerhouse Didier Drogba is set for a move to Italian giants AC Milan. Corriere dello Sport reports that the Milan club are set to move for the out of favour forward and could tie up the 33-year old for around £8million.

The Ivorian has had a prolific career in West London netting 95 goals for the Blues since his £24million switch back in 2004. But if reports in Italy are correct, the former Marseille man could have played his last game for the club with Chelsea turning to youth next season.

Chelsea are ironically speaking to Anderlecht representatives to sign the “new Drogba” but a £20million deal for Romelu Lukaku has yet to be confirmed. Chelsea can also look forward to the return of the impressive Daniel Sturridge who scored 8 in 12 whilst on loan to Bolton.

Drogba appears to be on borrowed time at Chelsea and is set for a move to Milan, but both Tottenham and Newcastle are keen to keep the striker in the Premiership but Drogba is thought to want to move to a club in the Champions League.

    CHELSEA JUST NEED 4 PLAYERS:
NEYMAR (a creative, tricky, striker/midfielder) for Anelka or Malouda
PASTORE (a creative midfielder) for Essien or Benayoun
VAN DE WIEL (a tricky, fast, right wingback) for Bosingwa or Ferreira
SUBOTIC (a 6ft3 goal scoring central defender) phased in slowly for Terry
