Redknapp Going Head-To-Head With Wenger For £10m Ace

By on June 15, 2011

Harry Redknapp is set to go toe-to-toe with Arsene Wenger over a deal for Blackburn defender Chris Samba.

The Tottenham boss is looking for 2 central defenders this summer and has indentified the 6ft 4in monster to bolster his defensive options. Arsenal have already had a £8million bid rejected this summer according to the Sun, but Spurs are set to offer around £10million to sign the Blackburn captain.

Samba has already admitted that Wenger tried to sign him back in January and admits he needs to move on to fill his aspirations as a footballer.

Blackburn are set to lose another defender after they confirmed Manchester United had signed promising youngster Phil Jones in a fee around £20million.
