REPORTS: President Confirms Chelsea After £44m Star

By on June 16, 2011

Chelsea have been told they will not get Javier Pastore for anything less than £44million, according to report. Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has insisted that the Blues are not the only club chasing the Argentine ace.

He said: “Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona are after Pastore.

“I told his agent to see what market there is for the player and he has probably spoken to some clubs.

“So at the end of the week we will meet to shed a bit of light on the future of the player.”

The 21-year old has also taken a liking to both Manchester clubs, but a move from either City or United has cooled with speculation linking them with alternative options.

The talented midfielder is set to spark a bidding war amongst Europe’s elite this summer with Palermo set to make a huge profit reports the Sun. Pastore only cost the club £5million from Argentine outfit Huracan two years ago and has since forced his way into the international setup earning 8 caps.
