Chelsea Set To Bid £8m For Arsenal Target

By on June 18, 2011

Chelsea are interested in Barcelona talent Thiago Alcantara. Thiago caught the eye of Chelsea scouts last season and has prompted the West London club to closely monitor Barcelona’s pursuit of Fabregas.

Thiago could be used as a makeweight if Barcelona submit another bid for the Arsenal captain, but despite the ongoing tussle for the 24-year old, Chelsea are pondering a move for the Spanish Under 21 star.

Thiago has already stated he will leave the Catalans if Fabregas does re-join the club, but could be heading for the exit anyway with the youngster failing to secure regular football.

The 20-year old is rated at around £8million and could prove a bargain after some fine displays at the back end of the La Liga season.
