CONFIRMED: Chelsea In Talks With Anderlecht Over Lukaku
Anderlecht have confirmed that they are in talks with Chelsea over a potential move for Belgian superstar Romelu Lukaku.
The 18-year old striker has been linked with Chelsea for some time now but talks are finally under way to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge. The Belgian outfit originally wanted around £20million for the youngster but Chelsea are hoping to bag the forward at a cut price.
The Anderlecht general manager has revealed talks with the West London club are ongoing but hinted a deal is not 100% guaranteed. Herman van Holsbeeck said:
“There is still a long way to go in the negotiations,” he told Sky Sports.
“We are indeed negotiating with Chelsea, but there are other clubs we are talking to.
“It could happen in the next half hour, it could take until August 31 – that is football.”
