REPORTS: Spanish Giants Linked With Move For Chelsea Ace

By on June 22, 2011

Barcelona are interested in signing Chelsea starlet David Luiz, according to reports.

The young Brazilian has made a fantastic start to his Chelsea career with some fine displays and even scoring 2 priceless goals against Premiership rivals Manchester United and Manchester City.

The early impact made at Stamford Bridge hasn’t gone unnoticed though, with Barca boss Pep Guardiola approving a move for the 24-year old.

Guardiola has told club president Sandro Rosell to move for the Brazilian international and media outlet Sport suggests the centre half would be interested in a move to the Catalans.

For the moment, a move for the former Benfica man is unlikely, with Chelsea paying around £22million for the defender just 6 months ago and with the lack of finances available at Barcelona – suggest the move is very unlikely to take place this summer.
