REPORTS: Chelsea To Tie Up Striker Deal Within Days

By on June 23, 2011

Chelsea are ready to steal a march on Brazilian wonderkid Neymar. The Santos striker was widely expected to join Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer after Chelsea refused to match Santos’ valuation of the player.

But, after their initial £30m bid was rejected by the South American giants, Chelsea have reconsidered their offer and are set to increase their original bid and will send “super agent” Pini Zahavi to Brazil to complete the move.

The Mirror reports that Chelsea are expected to complete the move as soon as this weekend with new manager Andre Villas-Boas fully behind the deal.

The 19-year old is expected to reject a move to Real Madrid and join the Blues for a fee in the region of £40million.

The Quicker Neymar gets into a blue shirt the better.. Torres will find form with Neymar beating defenders and providing top quality crosses into the box…He will give the attack a bit of aggression and plenty of goals

Neymar is what Chelsea need: a creative striker-midfielder. He usually attacks from the wing because of his speed, but has played all front and mid positions. He is good at breaking down defences; he turns defenders inside-out, and provides perfectly weighted through-balls. He would work well with all our present strikers. Chelsea needs a player like Neymar, someone who can have an impact like Messi. How else can we hope to win the Champions League?

Messi was always tenacious and could take a challenge. I just hope if we get him, we make him develop physically. I don’t want to see our side be reduced to players who can’t battle and impose themselves physically.

    Torres – for example.
I liked the sound of Arda Turan, someone who can go past players, use either foot and is also tenacious. A faster version of Joe Cole.

Only be happy once the deal is completed, he is player i wanted to see in a Chelsea shirt. But not geeting happy yeat, i have also read on the headlines of Fridays paper the express that Chelsea wont be held to ransome for the price Santos want for him. I also read in the same headline that The santos president has said he is not for sail he will reamain in Santos for another 15 yrs. Oh yea to leagend of Brazlian football Mr Pela, u said the premiership would be to tough for Neymar, well after watching the scenes after the Santos won the Liberdors cup it was violence all over the place, plus there was alot rough play in that Final. So eat words, and stop trying to ruin a players career before it has fully begun. Neymar is old enough and good enough to make his own decisons, does not need you hovering around him like u were his agent or father and tell him were he should play his football. If is heart is set on Chelsea let him come and give him the respect like u got in your playing days. Also he has Luiz, Ramires, Alex, and Piazon at Chelsea. We also have a great manager in AVB who will play all the time plus he speaks his Language Portugese. Also at Madrid he will be a bench player as he has both Ronaldo and Di Maria way in front of him. He will be wasting his time at Madrid and his career will be a very short one.
