TRANSFER NEWS: Spurs Keen On Goal-Scoring Hitman

By on June 26, 2011

Former Manchester United centre-forward Diego Forlan is reportedly a summer target of Harry Redknapp and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 32 year-old Uruguayan international has already spurned a chance to move to Turkish giants Galatasaray amid speculation of interest from White Hart Lane.

Forlan would provide Spurs with a creative forward that has play-making and goal-scoring ability. He would definitely be an upgrade for Spurs after a season that saw forwards at White Hart Lane managed just 17 goals in the Premier League.

After a stellar World Cup in South Africa in which Forlan scored 5 goals, he scored 10 goals in 42 appearances for El Atleti last term.

Do you think the addition of Forlan will make Spurs a contender to finish in the top four next season?
