TRANSFER NEWS: Chelsea Ace Set To Quit Bridge For Real Madrid

By on June 27, 2011

Ashley Cole is looking to finish his career with former boss Jose Mourinho, as he looks to temp ex-wife with Spanish move.

The Chelsea and England full back has been linked with a move to Spain this summer with Barcelona and Real Madrid keeping tabs on the defender.

The 30-year old still has two years on his current contract but would consider a move abroad. A source close to the footballer told The Mirror:

“Ashley has told friends he sees his future abroad and he wants to persuade [ex-wife] Cheryl to come with him.

“It all boils down to what Cheryl wants, but the early signs are she would be up for the idea.”

Spain is the most likely destination for Cole who would retain most of his £120,000 a week wages due to the tax breaks given to high earners.

He gets slaughtered by the press and the opposition fans in the UK. If he wants to go to Spain to get away from the nastiness and to patch up his relationship with his ex-wife then I say good luck to him. He’s been a good servant to the club and there are too many people who are not without sin and are ready to cast the first stone.

let him go to Real if he too much want to go…. so that Chelsea can get Benfica’s left defender Coentrao …. Coentrao is younger than Cole and can be better than Cole in future…!!!!

fabregas is a good player who should have won numerous trophiesbut hasn’t and does not look likely to win one so if he wants to get some silverware then barcelona is the place to be.
