ARSENAL TRANSFER NEWS: Bendtner, Clichy, Samba & 3 Signings Imminent

June is almost flying past us and Arsenal have only secured the services of that youngster, Carl Jenkinson. When the month started, the media Vultures concentrated more on player departures than possible arrivals because Arsenal just completed its sixth season without a trophy of sort.

Bendtner brought out a large megaphone, went to the top of Empire State building and screamed out loud that he wants to leave the club because he’s dissatisfied with his new role as a winger. His agent went with his CV and put it up like a wanted list with the bounty for Bendtner’s head starting at £10m so clubs over Europe set their sights on Arsenal’s Great pink boot-wearing Dane. Sevilla, Besiktas, Borussia Dortmund and Sporting CP have approached Arsenal for his services but it seems as if Dortmund has denied claims that they wanted to bid for Bendtner.

Jurgen Klopps side won the Bundesliga last season and the squad has a lot of quality strikers in the form of Lucas Barrios, Shinji Kagawa, Robert Lewandowski and a host of others so a cocky Dane might not be needed in the squad. Wenger hasn’t said anything of getting a new striker so Bendtner can decide to stay if he wants to but with Marouane Chamakh and Carlos Vela still locking horns for the right to be called Robin van Persie’s deputy, Bendtner should try his best to do his talking on the pitch.

No more bloody tales of how he’s meant to be amongst the top five strikers on Planet Earth or how he’s supposed to be playing week in week out. Bendtner’s goals against Man City, Newcastle and Ipswich showed his quality but his error of judgment against Barcelona from that Jack Wilshere pass showed that Bendtner still has a lot to learn.

He has a contract to see out at Arsenal so if no club approaches him this summer, he’ll have no choice but to take a professional approach into next season. Bendtner might not be a fan favorite in Arsenal but his introduction to the squad adds dynamism to Arsenal’s attack. Arsenal is a squad that’s renowned for crisp ground passes but a player like Bendtner makes the squad change its attacking style with crosses to the box because of his aerial prowess.

Blackburn’s Jason Roberts has expressed his concern over the prospect of losing Samba to Arsenal. Samba has already told the Blackburn hierarchy that he wants to leave the club but the Indian suit-wearing chums don’t want to give him up without a fight. As the captain of the club, they expect him to continue leading and rallying the White and Blue striped troops but Samba has given the club so many good years so its high time they let him go to further his career.

There were seasons when all Blackburn’s strikers where plagued by injuries thereby causing Big Sam Allardyce to re-deploy Samba as a center forward and the bulky Congolese did well to score enough goals for the Lancanshire outfit. With news emanating that Man City are trying their best to hijack Cahill from joining Arsenal, Wenger has to double his efforts to seal the deal for the Congolese man although there’s side talk that Arsenal have placed Phil Jagielka as a possible replacement.

Gael Clichy has been a subject of speculation to leave Arsenal for greener pastures elsewhere but Wenger has come out to say that he’ll only favor a move abroad. Clichy has probably weighed his options and has seen that a move to Liverpool will be the best for him in terms of playing time because they don’t really have any household name occupying the left back position.

Fabio Aurelio is the biggest name in the left back position but he visits the club’s treatment table more times than the amount of times Messi checks his mirror to know how the growth formula has worked. The media Vultures say that Clichy is set to clash with Wenger over a move to the 18-time league winners.

If I’m Wenger and Clichy is prepared that far against me to leave for a rival, I’ll bench him throughout next season and buy a new left back so that he could watch the new bloke play week in week out and hope that he’ll get injured someday. Wenger is a manager that tends to buckle when his player puts him under pressure to leave but I truly hope that he takes a stand on this Clichy saga.

Moving over to the headline news of today’s post, the media Vultures have reported that Arsenal will announce the signings of Alvarez, Gervinho and the Chambered Ox on the 1st of July, 2011.

They say that Little Ricky would be the first name to be announced but a website called unveiled that the rumors about Ricky Alvarez having signed for Arsenal are untrue! I’ve been very skeptical about this lad joining us from Velez Sarsfield. South Americans don’t thrive to well in the Premier League because of the drastic change in the footballing cultures as well as other factors which include physicality and pace. I’ll keep my fingers crossed about the ‘new Cesc’ as he’s labeled by the media Vultures.

That would not be wise! As soon as he opens his mouth to say so, the price of the player would go off the scale. Annoyingly, Totshite will make a bigger offer. I just hope that AW makes his signings ASAP to allow everyone to settle in.

Terrible piece. Have a read of your work before you publish things like this. “The media vultures” used every other line, sentence structure to complex for you to cope with and maintain. Fallen in to the trap of reading too many gossip columns and believing all the hype. Childish. You must know that any transfer activity is exaggerated at this time of year as the media seek to drum up interest. Rehashing what has been said a million times gets us nowhere. Wenger will be letting Fabregas go but will surely wait until has seen a few signings through the door and prices start to rise as clubs start to realise we have 40m to spend. This is assuming he even feels that he has to make any signings at this point in time. Much as everyone else is certain that Arsenal need to rebuild and that “surely he realises now” he has never shown any willingness to bow to peer pressure and spend when necessary. It is delusional to think he is going to change his mind and throw 30m on players this summer. One of Cahill and Samba would be great, both – simply will not happen. Other than that, there is little to nothing that ANYBODY knows about Arsenal’s transfer activity. Journos and “ITKs” like yourself will jump on any bandwagon they can find in hope of a story and I feel sure that is what has happened with Gervinho. That said, I would welcome Samba through the door, he would be a very un-Wenger-like signing but it seems that the player himself is keen to force a deal through. Interesting, but brush up on your research next time.

I actually think the article was good and your first comment was terrible. Hes only summarising was he had read and heard and therefore discussingly openly rather than making it sound like a foregone conclusion. So think your being harsh…..

To me alvarez looks like he has similar talents to nasri in the way he moves and plays. Hopefully he’s not being bought as a replacement (I doubt it) because he’s obviously going to take some time to adapt.

Dude…you are talking outta your fart hole.
Lille has NOT even received a formal offer from Arsenal, Blackburn wont sell Samba, Alvarez is on his way to Inter and Cahill will sign for Machester there. Nothing from nothing leaves NOTHING!
Wenger will miss out again(as always). big time!
Bottomm line is…It all hinges on STINGY Wenger since he wants to pinch every penny. Next season will be Wengers last..I hope.

I am in total agreement with the only two intelligent and mature comments here. Not to mention the only grammatically correct ones.

This is a useless, pointless and frankly, terribly written ‘article’. It tells us NOTHING new and nothing factual. It’s all based on a billion rehashed press stories that so far do not tally with actual OFFICIAL activity.

In other words, all of these so called signings and targets that are close have no actual solidity because we’ve heard or seen NOTHING to prove them to be so.

All you’ve done is rehash and repeat every scrap of regurgitated and recycled lap the media is pumping out. Gervinho was apparently a couple of days from signing when I was still on holiday in the United States, that was ONE MONTH AGO.

Your ‘article’ was panifully unfunny and too bias to be taken as a professional and mature piece of writing.

Stick to reading your papers and websites and Sky Sports News and leave the Internet alone.

Oh and the two comments I agreed with?

    Trigger and Gary.

The rest of you are illiterate morons. STOP ADRESSING WENGER WITH YOUR COMMENTS!!!! It’s extremely f*****g annoying!!!!

Do you English-challenged idiots actually believe that Wenger is scrolling the Internet reading your stupid comments?

Please do us genuine Arsenal supporters a favour and SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!

Mr. Wenger, the Manager of Arsenal FC is like a shy and stingy man interested a ravishingly beautiful girl. He winks at her and the girl returns some semi-explicit come-and-get-me signs but Mr. Wenger is either too stingy to ask her out for dinner and (or) too shy to propose. Meanwhile, a bold admirer – (er, say Sir Alex Ferguson or Jose Mourinho) upon picking interest in the same girl, swiftly takes her out for dinner (injects some cash), proposes to, and marries off the girl. With the girl off the shelf, Mr. Wenger emerges from the woods and declares that he knew and liked her before. The man has for instance claimed that he had spotted Christiano Ronaldo before the Portuguese wing-wizard signed for Man Utd. It has been the same story with several players who have signed for other clubs with faster Managers. With continental and Premier League suitors lurking, Mr. Wenger remains too “impotent” to snare any of Gervinho, Chris Samba, Gary Cahill, Juan Mata and Ricky Alvarez.

We have a major signing since the window opens but up till today wenger has not sign one a part from the kid. Arsenal fc is the worst performed club last season. They should offload the followings. Squallica, denilson, arshavim, bentiner, vela, rosicky. Keeping them will only bring another season without fruit. Then wenger should bring the likes of SAMBA,CAHILL,MATA,ALVAEREZ:) By jan. Transfer the club will add 3 players because of injuries.
