REPORTS: La Liga Club Make Move For United Striker

By on July 1, 2011

Reports suggest that Valencia are keen on out of favour Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov.

Els taronja are willing to pay up to £14million for the Bulgarian, less than half of the £30.75million the Red Devils spent to get the striker from Tottenham Hotspur in September of 2008. Despite being the leading scorer in the English Premier League, Berbatov was used primarily as a substitute late in United’s 2010-11 campaign due to the emergence of Mexican talisman  Javier “El Chicharito” Hernandez.

Berbatov allegedly stormed out of Wembley after Sir Alex Ferguson did not include him the eighteen man squad for the Champions League final and has been rumoured to be exiting Old Trafford ever since.
