Chelsea, Arsenal & Manchester United Target Signs New Contract
Barcelona’s Thiago Alcantara has signed a new contract keeping him at the Nou Camp until 2015, ending rumours he may be set for a move to the Premier League.
The 20-year old had been heavily linked with an £8m move to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, but the talented midfielder has decided to pledge his future to the La Liga champions.
Team-mate Xavi is delighted that the young prospect has decided to stay on with Barcelona:
“Thiago has renewed and that’s great news,” he said.
“He is a fantastic player with a lot of talent – the competitiveness of the group is great.”
