REPORTS: Real Madrid Contact Arsenal With £45m Fabregas Offer

By on July 1, 2011

Real Madrid have contacted Arsenal about the availability of captain Cesc Fabregas and are ready to pay the Gunners £45m for the Spaniard, according to reports.

Sky Sports News reporter and Spanish correspondent Graham Hunter believes Madrid have contacted the Gunners and enquired about Fabregas, with the La Liga giants ready to outbid rivals Barcelona.

Fabregas has been linked with a move back ‘home’ to Barca for several years now and it has been highly expected that the move would finally go through this summer. However, the major stumbling block has always been Barca’s valuation of the player with them refusing to pay beyond £30m, which is well short of Arsenal valuation.

However, Real are understood to be ready to submit a bid of £45m which may force Barcelona to up their offer. Arsenal would of course prefer to sell to the highest bidder but it’s unlikely Fabregas would consider a move to any other side except his boyhood team (Barcelona).

I have said this time without number,Arsenal is bigger than any player so no player should hold gunners on ransom.

Foxy Jose… I knew he would do it! In best case he will prevent Fab move for his rivals. At least he will reduce Barca’s funds for other purchases…. Both variants are fine for gunners

Last year of the big spenders.

With the `finanacial fair play` system to be introduced in 2012 it will be a much leveller playing field although I`m damned sure the sleuths are working out a way around it. Jose has called `checkmate` and for one more season Fabregas is well advised to stay put.

Lads, lads. Jose is just winding Barca up. He caught a bit of the London sense of humour from CFC and is laughing himself silly. But the danger for Jose is if Barca were to fold and call his bluff will Real really be able to come up with the readies? So it could backfire. Meanwhile Wenger is looking at Cesc, “There, there. Don’t cry. Madrid’s just a couple of hours from Barcelona with lots of Catalan restaurants. Maybe Jose will let you train at Barca during the week. You never know. Here’s a hankie. Dry your nose.”

Let ask for benzema plus cash for fab. Or tell barca to give perdro plus cash or 45m. Let use what we have to get what we want

Cesc is not a slave to his employer. He will refuse to go anywhere except Barca.
