Only time will tell if Adam is a bargain or a dud. However, last season’s stats seem to prove that Adam was the top “set-piece taker” in the league. This is definitely an area where Liverpool can improve. Liverpool have for decades, wasted more corners and free-kicks than many (even ordinary) teams. So to have a player who is a proven magician at set-pieces is definitely an advantage.

The signing of Adam will be good business, he is excellant at set pieces and has a eye for goal. This surely will signal the end for Meireless which is a shame but i believe a midfield 3 of Adam Lucas Gerrard is on the cards with a forward 3 of Suarez carroll downing will be Liverpools prefered formation for games we should win and all too often have drawn or lost.

adams is hardly sum1 to get xcited about, didnt do much at rangers,as for being top at set pieces-most were penalties and the corners that resulted in goals were flukey and crap(quite often daisy cutters to the near post) different if he could cross the ball like beckham or van der vaart and pick out a player, then there is his obvious lack of pace, should have gone for players such as christian eriksen(ajax),or diego(wolfsburg)…i really do have concerns that players like reina and suarez will get fed up of seeing over priced british players who have never achieved anything arriving at the club,,why keep buying central midfielders, wouldnt the 20 odd mill spent on henderson have been better spent on juan mata or fabio contreau? especially when those are priority positions and signing those players would have made a real statement of intent, reina and suarez would definitely have been happy,,thers the mancs buying de gea and ashley cole, chelsea targeting neymar, modric etc and we get bloody adams and henderson-hardly going to send shivers down the backs of europes elite clubs is it!

Agree with Red4life. Players like Adam & Downing are goodish standard premiership players and we are going for more. What we need is a couple of world class players like Mata and Coentrao for £25m each – forget the rest.
