TRANSFER NEWS: Chelsea Told To Forget Buying Star Striker

Atletico Madrid sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero has made it clear that the club has no desire to sell Sergio Aguero.

The Argentine international has already stated his desire to leave the club prompting speculation that Juventus, Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid would all be interested in the player.

Juventus have already had a £25million bid rejected by the Spanish outfit who are believed to want around £45million for their star striker. Despite claims they will not sell the South American rumours suggest £45million would be enough for Atletico to part with the 23-year old.

Manchester City are set to move for forward, after fellow countryman and club captain Carlos Tevez claimed he wants to leave the Eastlands for family reasons. However, Perez Caminero has made it clear that Aguero will not be sold.

“At this moment, Atletico feel Kun Aguero is an asset to our squad and we’re not considering him leaving and, therefore, neither are we considering any negotiations for him,” he said.

“He’s one of the best players we can find and we trust that when the Copa America finishes he will return to Atletico Madrid and be as important a player as he has been in previous seasons.

“Big teams are always keen on great players and we are fortunate enough to have Kun and at this stage we are not considering anything.

“We are a team who want to have the best players and Kun is one of those. What we want is that the lad finishes the Copa America, comes here and continues to show what a great player he is and helps make this team better.”
