Wenger’s Statement On Arsenal’s Summer Transfer Activity

Today, Arsene Wenger has made a statement on the Gunners’ transfer policy this summer, here’s what he had to say:

“Our position is always the same, we want to keep Cesc and I will fight as hard as I can to keep him,” said Wenger. “Samir Nasri is exactly the same. We will do everything we can to keep him.”

The Frenchman also confirmed the club are closing in on a deal for Lille forward Gervinho and revealed he is hoping to bring a number of players to the Emirates before the start of the new season.

“We are working very hard on it,” he continued. “For me, the best thing is not to talk too much about it. The more you speak about things, the less chance you have to achieve them. The only thing that I can promise you is that we will work very hard and we have had some long nights to achieve what we want to achieve.

“I can understand [the impatience among the fans]. Believe me, I know all the clubs in the world and everybody needs the same players for the same positions. If there were an obvious choice, people would have already made their decisions.

“We are at the top level and therefore need exceptional quality to strengthen our side. I can understand that people say ‘you have money, just go out and buy’. But it’s not only that, we want to find the quality we need.

“I have said many times that we were very close to winning things last season, despite the disappointment we had at the end. I hope that provokes a response from my players. We were so close this time we want to come back and achieve it. My responsibility is first of all not to lose players and then to add and make us stronger.”

Oh no, why dose wenger say the same crap every year.I really think that most Arsenal fans know that it is time for wenger to leave. I believe that he is starting to understand that himself. Most managers would have understood that a couple of players signed early would have keep the most important people(fans) in the club happy, but here we are going on tour and 1 young player signed.
Well i am afraid that the fans will start to voice our opinions at the games next season if he does not make the signings required. I think this is going to end very messy for Wenger & the no balls Board. This man has to much power and it is time for a change to keep the club moving forward.

Wenger is becoming Robert Mugabe of the British game. He listens to none other than himself.

AW ,every season you always say like that .we only need to win something in the next season but with out stenghten your team with quality players we don’t win .look at the other competitor MU,Chelsea,Liverpool and MC who will be strongest than do something to win the a trophy.

Wenger starting the same bullshit of how close we got so he can justify only making 2-3 signings. Yes even if we won the league last season we were still CRAP, nobody deserved to win the prem last year, any normal year we would have been out of it by March. The proof was how we played against Barca, men against boys is an understatement. Wenger u were a genius the first 10 years but these last 5 i cant see what has happened to u, u become a complete ****, u made and destroyed this club!

Wenger thinks his philosophy will work .However the last six years have shown it aint working. His kid policy is full of flaws. His one dimensional style is easy to counter.
The need for expereince with quality players is greater than ever. He must modify his attacking play with a stronger defence.
That’s why the red faced cunt rubbed his hands in gllee when he had to face the gunners in the cl.Sure enough when the gunners attack broke down,a swift counter and inter changing of passes and the ball is in the gunners net.The gunners attacking frenzy without regard for defence soon results in another goal conceded.
Wenger can’t believe what has happened.Surely by now he should know the flaws in his game plan. If he doens’t seek to rectfy them,he should be off.

AW u’re the best, you know your job so well and I always respect your decision but please try and insert the winning mentality into the mind of this current arsenal squad for that is the major thing they need to start winning medals.Try and Nasri and Fab if possible, try and sign at least two more quality players in addition to Gervinho and I’m sure we would be good to go for trophies.

I am thankful for all you have done AW. But like any player who reaches the end of his career, I fear you must also leave so the club can move forward. AW you keep saying the same thing every transfer window, but your actions in the transfer market show that you are not able to be the manager of a champion side. Your squad is not strong enough – you must realize this or leave. If only you had somebody at the club to force a better quality squad on you. Your tactics combined with a better squad might just win some trophies.

How wonderful it would have been for AW to sign all the required proven stars who possess winning mentality and discard the likes of Nicklas Bendthner, Denilson, Squilasci, Diaby, etc. And give fans peace of mind for once. Buying now will also afford the new players to blend with the Gunners style of play before the start of the season but as usual Mr. Know it All (AW) wants to wait till the end of the transfer window when ALL the good players would have been bought, then he will claim he did not get quality players. I have always said it since 2 seasons ago that AW will RUIN this club.

I watched Ricky Alvarez on YouTube and saw that he plays just like Messi. He’s Strong, dribbles, pierces defenses, shoots from a distance, fearless and will be a perfect replacement for Fabregas but as usual AW has lost him to Inter Milan due to stingy nature or lack of focus. Wenger has definitely passed his prime and has nothing serious to offer Arsenal anymore but it’s very obvious the current Board lacks ambition of winning trophies but profit.

Look the likes livespool, tottenham, Chelsea and man united they have good squad and they are all planning big. Pls sack sack sack the sting idots

Wenger keep trying harder as you said to retain our skipper and Nasri lastly promise them that you will bring in good players that will help boost the team to pick up trophies and I believe this will help convince them and make them calm to stay because I sense their major problem for quitting the club not just money but trophy. UP ARSENAL UP GUNNERS UP WENGER THE COACH OF THE DECADE IN YOU WE TRUST

Mr Wenger, please allow them to go. Remember a player plays so well when he is happy @ his club. Keeping them against their wish means no trophies next season.
Please let them go for a good fee and lets try our luck in other players. We can only win trophies with a a happy team led by a committed captain. Cesc and Nasri are good players but clearly their hearts do no longer belong to arsenal. PLease lets the 20 million from Nasri’s move and avoid loosing it out entirely next season when he becomes a free agent.

I think it about time we stopped saying in Arsen we trust. That is arsenals biggest downfall, he is not God, but he is a very good manager and who are we going to replace him with, all other managers will come and buy buy buy before you know it very big debt and lower division football. I hope arsenal fans know that we are not a rich club but it looks like if we can keep things like they are for a while we will be financially secured. We need trophy’s as well but we all know that trophy’s are bought with money. We can certainly win trophys by spending 300 million like man city believe me I trust Arsen will do much much better than Mancini with that budget or villas Boas but then isn’t that amount of money more than the cost of our stadium.

Wenger is a good coach anytime anyday, but the problem with him is how to spend money to buy quality players ( very stingy man) with good players, wenger will win Trophies, we fans want trophies but he kept on making money for the management of the club, then no threat of sack from them, i just want to advice him to buy quality and mature players against next season.
