REPORTS: Arsenal Name Their Price For Star Midfielder

By on July 10, 2011

Arsenal have dropped their asking price for club captain Cesc Fabregas, according to reports.

The Daily Mail reports that the Gunners have rejected Barca’s latest offer, thought to be in the region of £31million. However, the Arsenal hierarchy has told Barcelona chiefs that Fabregas is theirs if they increase their bid by £4million.

This would be the Catalans third offer after the North London club rejected Barca’s first approach of £27million.

Arsenal have resigned to losing Fabregas and suspiciously the player will not feature in their tour of Asia due to an apparent injury. This latest claim from Arsenal has fuelled speculation a switch to La Liga is imminent.

Arsene wenger is indeed not a ‘good manager’, after he has been given money to spend, what stop him 4rm buying quality players. He wants to run arsenalfc down, but God forbid. All he does around is to buy small players dat are competent to win trophy. Imaging 6yrs trophyless season. Infact it is too shameful.

Would you guys learn to speak English! Stop bitching and moaning and support the players please. We have some quality kids in the background waiting to break through. Yes we do need some quality but there is still time. I hope Fabregas goes, Nasri stays and moves in to the central role. If Downing joines plus Cahil (Mertseker would be preferable and cheaper in my opionion) or even both! TV could then play left back with Gibbs as cover and he could also provide cover at CB. If Podolski comes too that would actually add quite a bit of quality and depth to what we have. Adding Cahil or Samba to this would be the icing on the cake. I am sure when he says he will bring in 1 or 2 he means “a few” and that is probably based on no one else leaving … don’t try and read everything Wenger says so literally … wait and see! 🙂

Fellow Gooners,to comment on any story regarding Arsenal in the ‘Daily Heil’or most other so called Newspapers come to that,is frankly ridiclious. It is an appaling RAG,and not even fit to have ‘Fish and Chips’ wrapped in it,there is one use i could find for it in the bathroom, and i think we all know what that is.

If its true then that is good news as Wenger has obviously agreed in principal deals to spend the cash. Although not sure where i read this, he is prepared to spend the £60, transfer kitty he has and then wait till January to see if he needs to spend any money that comes in from sales.

lol mate thats a lie. My sources inside the club says arsenal has never named a price. One does not put price tags on players as good as Fabregas. But if they can stump up a proper bid then he may well be allowed to go. But not 35M, you get Carrol for that.

who?/ sterwart downing??? are we joking or what?
we need quality, zest, and speed.
Sell Fabregas. Arshavin, Bentner, vela, denilson, almunia, schilachi or whatever. Consider offloading abou diaby Song and walcott even. To outside PL clubs preferably.
Keep Nasri. Lavezzi in, benzima or similar in. Welcome in gervihno. Maxell from barca in Fabregas deal. Juan Mata in as well. Samba in at the back. Cahill??? not so sure.

We need proper firepower upfront in rotation (2 upfront) VP, Benzinma, Chamackh, Gervihno
Good and take no prisoner type squad at the back with Samba / Vermalen / Maxell /Sagna / Schezny in goals

In the middle mix it up with Nasri, Wilshire, Mata / Lavezzi, Song/ Rosiscky.
We should look for another experienced holding midfielder i think.

All past seasons, we lacked depth, fitness, discipline, power when it matters. All ingredients of a winning mentality.

No more inexperienced captains given the job for other reasons than the ability to lead the team to victory.

    Arsenal on Top. 4 sure.

I do not think that arsenal need to sell any of their players, rather should try to buy so as to add morestrenth to present players and club

We need to let Fabregas ,Bentiner,Aluminia,Denlison,Arshervin,Rosiscky,Diaby,Vela and Ebuoe go like yesterday and we buy good players like Cahill, Mata ,Samba Benzima or Rodiega,Lavezzi,Hulk ,Albright just a few mention, Wenger should know we are not going to just keep quite and see things don’t go ok Arsenal is a big club 6years without trophy is not acceptable.
