Atletico Madrid will go head-to-head with Chelsea over the signing of Racing Genk goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

The Spanish outfit have placed a goalkeeper at the top of their wish list summer after they sold David de Gea to Manchester United for £17million.

The talented Belgian has been linked with a move to West London this summer, something that Madrid coach Gregorio Manzano acknowledges. He said in the AS:

“If something bad happened we would be in trouble and so we want to strengthen in that area.

“(Thibaut) Courtois hasn’t been ruled out although it is complicated as Chelsea are also involved.”
