Wagner Ribeiro, agent to Brazilian superstar Neymar, has slammed Barcelona in their attempt to sign his client. Ribeiro was left enraged with Barca president Sandro Rosell after he spoke to the player directly after Santos accepted the clubs approach to sign him.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with the Brazilian starlet, but it seems he is set for a move to Spain, and Ribeiro made it clear which club he would prefer his client to join:

“I did not like the way Rosell has behaved. He went to speak directly with the player and his father when he was with the Brazil squad,” revealed Ribeiro.

“From the moment in which Santos permitted Barcelona and Real Madrid to talk to the player, they should have spoken to me first, I’m his agent.”

Ribeiro also said: “I am totally in favor of negotiating with Real Madrid. I am familiar with Florentino Perez from the time he took Robinho to the club. Also, when Neymar was 13, he trained 15 days with Real Madrid and the club showed an interest in signing him, but his father advised him to stay then with Santos.

“So if I had to choose one of the two, I would choose Real Madrid.”
