Lukaku: “I have always wanted to go to England”

By on July 12, 2011

Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku is hoping to secure a dream move to Chelsea this summer, but admits he is yet to hear anything “new” from Chelsea.

Chelsea are reportedly desperate to sign the £20million rated Belgian but the player himself admits he has yet to receive an offer from the Blues.

“Occasionally you might yearn for something new, but for now I sit here very well. We’ll see where it goes,” he said after returning for pre-season training.

Lukaku admits a move to England is his dream, adding:

“I would really like a top transfer and I have always wanted to go to England.”

The 18-year old dubbed the “new Drogba” and has made an astonishing impact for such a young forward, bagging over 30 goals in just 71 appearances for Belgian outfit Anderlecht and winning the top goal scorer back in 2009/10 whilst just 17.
