I thought English Football has passed the stage where a manager’s vision and plan for a team is clearly parochial. We should be signing the best players and not just British players.

Totally agree. Although looking at another website Downings Stats are pretty impressive. Maybe Mata will stay and when we finish top 4 he’ll be interested as we’ll have CL football to offer
