Ferguson Speaks Out On Retirement Talk

By on July 20, 2011

Manchester United veteran manager Sir Alex Ferguson claims he has no plans to retire from the Old Trafford hot seat.

Rumours last season suggested the Scot would consider retiring after the club surpassed Liverpool’s league title record which saw United claim their 19th title, but when asked if he had any imminent retirement plans the Scot said:

“Absolutely not,”

“Not at all. I’m not even thinking about it. You just have to keep going.

“The challenge, whether it’s with young players or old players, is that you have to do something. There’s always that expectation at this club.”
