REPORTS: Spurs Make Move For £12m Hot-Shot

By on July 22, 2011

Tottenham have rekindled their interest in Internacional striker Leandro Damiao, according to reports.

The talented 21-year old netted 24 goals in just 29 games last year and was heavily linked with a move to North London earlier in the summer.

Spurs had multiple bids rejected for the Brazilian with the last thought to be in region of £12million. However, Tottenham are set to renew their interest in the striker according to the Daily Mail but will have to increase their bid dramatically with the youngster just signing an extension to his contract.

So you’re going to play a hold-up striker (Vucinic) on the left, a central attacking midfielder (VDV) on the right and a central creative midfielder (Modric) on the left ??? On top of that, you’re asking your CBs to cover the space vacated by your “marauding” FBs, thereby leaving Jupiter-sized holes in central defence ??? I think the next stop for you my friend is the brain surgery clinic…

No, he wants our CM (Sandro) to leave Modric and VDV on their own and go cover both full-backs when they go “marauding”, thereby leaving Jupiter-sized holes in the middle of the park. Which I’m sure he’d cover by having Gomes pushing forward.

Yeah but any condition buy internacional will be to keep him until jan anyway. I reckon we should give Pav a chance till Jan to prove he’s worth keeping but sell the other 3 defoe, keane, crouch

Think this could be a loan for a season with an option to buy to see how he gets on as he’s young. Spurs have a link up with the Brazilian club hence the Sandro deal. Levy will be reluctant to splash out until he’s proved himself in England, could also be a smaller permanent deal with add-ons as if he reaches his potential?

Yes it has, good point chiv!! Maybe deals outwards are still allowed? Otherwise this just proves again how these stories are mainly pants…

Here in RSA we watch many live Brazilian games.I will say the same as i said befor Sandro arrive.Leandro is a great player and will be well worth waiting for.Anything below 20m will be money very well spent. The boy, like Sandro,is a “class act”
