We need lukaku for the future. Drog and anelka possibly won’t be here next season.

We have enough fire power? Don’t make me laugh! Against a poor Pompey we had to rely on an own goal to struggle to a nil one win and against a very poor Malaysian 11 who had conceded 10 goals against Arsenal and Liverpool only the week before we struggled to a 0 1 win with a goal that maybe didn’t even cross the line! Sell Malouda, Kalou and Anelka to make way for Aguero, Johnson and Lukaku in the squad or we will be in trouble when the season starts!

In a squad where there is only room for two players competing for every position and which plays 4-3-3 the article is right. We play one CF and this will be between Drog and Torres this season. See you at The Bridge, come on the Blues!!!

Does that open up a window for Arsenal?. I doubt whether Wenger can pay that amount for any player leave alone an 18 year old. I even doubt whether we need more firepower when we have some loose ends in our defence to sort out.

id rather have a smaller squad with lots of class players than to have a huge squad wih lots of hasbeens , time to let go of anelka zhirkov malouda kalou bosingwa fereira , to make way for top youngsters like aguero mata hazard turan ect , and sturridge should be givn the chance ahead of anelka kalou ect

It is good news for Chels that we aren’t buying then loaning him out. Indicates that we have already allocated our huge budget and no more is left for Lukaku buy and loan out, which would be only option if we bought him. Trust in AVB, he will buy good and big once his analysis of existing squad is complete.

For the record, I expect to see four/five senior squad signings this season, two/three of which to be at plus £40M.
