REPORTS: Villa- Boas Wants To Buy English Talent

By on July 24, 2011

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas wants more English players at the club, a source has claimed.

The Blues have been linked with a number of English players in recent months including Manchester City winger Adam Johnson, Bolton’s Gary Cahill, Jack Rodwell of Everton and Birmingham’s Scott Dann. But a Chelsea source admitted to The Sun:

“It’s a big problem for Andre. Unless he can get rid of some of the overseas players he is restricted in what he can do.

“It’s why English players are commanding bigger fees than perhaps they are worth.”

Chelsea already boast an array of talent up top making the move for Johnson unlikely, the Blues also have abundance of cover at the back leaving moves for Cahill and Dann not necessary but with Essien out for up to six months a move for Rodwell is possible.

chelsea have 2 great english youngsters in mceachran and sturridge. Instead of loaning them out or selling them. Give them a chance and some game time.

Is modric the only midfielder in the world? Must we give up our youngster on him?

selling sturridge will be one of the greatest transfer mistake chelsea will make. He only needs more playing time to show he is worth more than he is valued at.
Chelsea should Buy lukaku because we do not need a guess work when the season starts.
Also let them cash in on anelka
