Cech: Torres Won’t Be A Flop Like Shevchenko

Chelsea stopper Petr Cech insists £50million Fernando Torres will not flop like former striker Andriy Shevchenko.

The Ukraine international arrived from AC Milan for a then Chelsea record of £30.8million, however the striker struggled to live up to his inflated price tag and was eventually sold after scoring just nine league goals for the Blues.

But the Chelsea No1 doesn’t believe Torres will suffer the same fate as Shevchenko. The Czech shot-stopper added:

“The time will come for Fernando.

“There are no similarities with Shevchenko. Torres will score goals and will be fine.

“With Andriy, it did not work from the start. But you can see with Fernando that he is working, improving all the time.

“We need to improve as a team to play with him. It’s just a matter of time.”

I’m sure Torres will be flop talent like Shevcenko.If he wants to shining again,he must retun back to LFC.He is LFC blood.It’s TRUE….It’s TRUE.

yes a different type of flop! a total flop;
will he score shev’s 22 goals (out of 77 games)?? looks so distant;
shev was decent in comparison!
torres has not played well at all for one year, that included a half season at LFC, and lots of games for Spain team; i would be most happy if torres gets back to his best, but i think he is done, at any team !**

The great player called Torres won’t flop but on one codition if Drogba is out of team luk at Pizzaro,Shev & Roben al of dem dey in d team with Drogba & al of flopped.
