By on July 29, 2011

Ajax fullback Gregory van der Wiel has stated he’s happy at Ajax and is fully focused on the season ahead, playing down speculation he could be heading to the Premiership.

The 23-year old has been heavily linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester United this summer but the Dutch international is perfectly happy in Holland.

“There are always many rumours about me and not one of them is true,” the full-back told onside.dk. “I have no idea what to think.

“I’m focused on this season with Ajax and then the European Championship next year.”

The attacking full back has come through the famous Dutch academy and played over 100 games for the club and would cost a potential suitor around £15million.
