Target Distances Himself From Arsenal & Tottenham Move Rumours

By on July 29, 2011

Towering centre-back Christopher Sambas has dismissed claims he is trying to engineer a move away from the club.

The 27-year old has been linked with a move to North London this summer, with Tottenham and Arsenal battling it out for Blackburn defender.

Samba has been quoted previously stating he is an “ambitious” player and is at the age where he needs to be challenging for silverware, but the Congo powerhouse has suggested he has never mentioned a liking to another club. Samba wrote on his personal Twitter account:

“The declarations about me are totally false – never said that.

“I’m a Rovers player and will never mention other clubs – it’s disrespectful. Not happy right now.”
