I have supported Arsenal since the late 60`s the end of the Wright saga , and this will be the first season , I will be able to have no stress watching them , why ? because the management of Arsenal is a farce , Nasri doing us a big favour staying for another year, losing Mata , cannot get rid of our dross players, Denilson going on a years loan and thinking he`ll come back then and play for as he says a team of non winners, the whole management is a shambles and the sooner we drop some serious points which we will with our team the quicker we can get rid of the Frenchman.

Nasri is going to get ripped. He has put himself in a position where if he doesn’t perform, the crowd will turn spastic on him and the team is going to suffer yet again. Just get rid of him and Fabregas and move on.

The difference is, Fabregas has put 8 years into Arsenal and has been Arsenal’s best player for most of that time, where he’s gained respect from the fans. Nasri has been good for about 4 months.

Maybe Dean Ibraham isn’t English? In which case I commend him or is attempts. I would, however, encourage him to take a look at English punctuation.
If, on the other hand, English is his mother tongue, then you’re right, he should be ashamed of himself.

I can claim to be an Arsenal fan since the mid-1930’s and have supported them through triumph and disaster for nearly 80 years. I see them now, in my declining years, as playing the most attractive football ever, the best trained and looked after and the best managed. You Gooners simply don’t know when you are well off. You are chronic moaners. If you can’t criticise the Manager, you pick on a player. The cost of living increases and so does ticket prices and you moan at that, conveniently forgetting the odd wage increase.
It’s about time you appreciated your luck in supporting one of the most popular Clubs on the planet. Forget all the nonsense about the lack of silverware in recent years. Think instead of the attractive football you’ve witnessed and remember that 99% of UK Clubs and their supporters would give anything to copy the Arsenal style.
Along with many old Supporters I may not live to see our Captain lift another trophy…..but so what. As long as I can watch the team play as they do, I count my blessings. So should you all.

I agree that Arsenal fans have been spoiled but sadly our latest ‘style’ appears to be to score enough goals to win a match and then throw it away. The 4-4 against Newcastle last season just sums up this Arsenal side. Breathtaking one second and then absolute garbage the next. You can’t blame fans for being frustrated. Wenger admits we need to strengthen up in defence and so far he’s sold a 1st choice defender to a rival club and not replaced him. It’s getting tedious.

I agree with you 100%, nicky. I love the way this team for the most part plays sych flowing, attacking football. It’s a joy to watch. Though I’d like to team to win trophies, I wouldn’t want it to be at the expense of the attractive style of play.

No ones saying you can’t play good football and not win things.we all know where we suffer in games, its not to much to ask to sign a decent centre back were awesome going forward but lack at the back!

Best wishes and great shout Nicky, I completely agree.
Some of these so called fans have no idea what it really means to ‘support’ your team, I suggest some of you go and look up the word. My first game was at Highbury back in the grim old days with players the likes of Ian Ure, we didn’t win anything and it certainly wasn’t beautiful but I fell in love with the club. The fact that Arsenal play some of the most attractive football on the planet is a massive bonus . . .

Thumbs up Nicky, Great piece.
Think everyone who goes to the emirates needs to read that nicky, before they go to their next game they watch. if in fact they do? Unless i can get a season ticket off a pal then i’m afraid anywhere i sit in that stadium IS like a bloody library. It’s OUR job to get behind the team no matter what. Was disgusted at the weekend when watching against Boca when we started singing and there was a couple of people behind us saying shhh, sit down…could’ve strangled them. Please, please get behind the team this year and make plenty of noise too for ARSENAL IS A GREAT CLUB and we don’t appreciate the work everyone is doing there nearly enough in my opinion.

How as I dont want to argue with you because of your great age, I would like to point out a few things. Firstly, we pay the highest gates in the whole of the footballing world and we deserve a competitive team.
Secondly, we have been so nearly there in the last few years only to fold up at the run-in for the title, something alway seems to stop us. We all know that it is the defense, afterall, you dont get to concede the most number of goals at set pieces for nothing.
Thirdly, the board has been playing pass the buck for the last few years with the manager. One minute we have got all the money in the world to improve our squad, but the mean manager does not like to spend, and then the next minute, we discover that we did not have the money afterall.
We all want the same thng, Arsenal winning the premiership and the FA Cup and I pray that you live to see us do it again.

Much as I’ll hate to see Nas leave us, I will refer him to leave now and in the process give us a bit of fund for a capable replacement. The only snag in this is the penchant of the board to pocket all receipts from transfers and come come out pretending as if nothing has happened. This is symtomatic of an obessity patient, secret and sometimes not so secret eater.

Like Wright once said, since when did Arsenal become an academy? why should we groom players and let them leave at d end for d sake of money? Letz get it straight here, we are not a poor club to always put money first. I think Nasri should stay, and I also believe the reception Henry received from the Gunners fans at d Emirate yesterday is something that could have inspired him to stay. Who wouldn’t want to be a legend? But come to think of it, what was Henry telling Nasri yesterday after game? “Boy, don’t u wanna be like me; giving this kind of warm welcome someday?” Trust me, Henry must have asked him not to leave!

I think wenger has lost it all with his penny pinch atitude, signing he would have made earlier like man u and others for cheap are now on the high thereby making him dizzy,he is sick in the head with his director in the process loosing most of our prefered options to other clubs that knows their worth, look at mata’s case, alvaro, carzalo etc,he wants cheap articles like sqilaci and free agents that are unproductive, and can’t even get clubs to collect his trashed woods of players from him,too bad, lower the price of bentner, ebue, djourou, sqilaci, then collect whatever barca comes up with and let fab go,if nasri refuse to sign a new contract, let him go and as a matter of urgency, today, 2morrow get samba, cahill or phil, benzema or lakuku and a midfilder so that they could blend as much as they could before the new season kicks off, stop fooling around, remember its either a silverware or your exit your shares in the club not withstanding, its time for seriousness,up gooners and best of luck in the new season

well wasn’t that productive,
you should just keep schtum mate. yeah, we should just buy him, him, him, him and him and just simply get rid of all them and then we’ll win. ha ha. it ain’t champ manager we’re talking about here…it’s arsenal, remember, in the real world! think someone should stop reading transfer gossip and forums. And leave wenger be, if it wasn’t for him we’d be in a similar situation as spurs right now still with an old stadium and no champions league. although i suppose if we did get rid of Wenger we could get…..VINDOTECH!

August 1, 2011 at 11:34 pm
How much longer do we put up with Wenger and the lack of buying top players. Wenger has had long enough and 6 years without a trophy says it all and this season we will be worse unless he buys. Most other managers would have been sacked by now. Time to pay up and get the players we want or say goodbye Wenger. Your losing the plot.

At the end of last season I have to admit I thought Wenger would realize it was make or break for him unless he did what he promised “to be very active in the transfer window”. So,for what it`s worth, I supported him. Looks like I got egg on my face. Since a boy in the 1940`s I`ve always referred to Arsenal as “we”, sadly I don`t feel part of the family anymore.

I’m getting sick and tired of the same old reteric. “make big money signings”. How many big money signings has Wenger actually made???? I emplore you all to shut your mouths and take some reality pills. The most amout spent buy Wenger during his tenure is one Jose Antonio Reyes….Look what happend there!! cost was a reported 17 mil. everyone of Wengers stars have been moulded at Arsenal rather than paying top dollar for someone proven. I’ll admit that Wenger IS digging his own grave with theis self sustaining mantra, reluctance in the transfer market and if this issue with Mata’ contract rings true and we missed out because his buyout clause expired then Wenger needs to go. or atleast take a step back and work souly on youth development while we get a mamnger whos is able to buy the players he wants without trying the bargain basement first. I understasnd the fans who have been watching Arsenal long before I was even born but I dont agree that because things have been worse then we should be gratefull of what we have. Thats just botty water. just because we have been in worse situations it dose not mean that we have to accept our imediate short cummings and that we will not win the league for sometime.
I will support my team through thick and thin its not something that will go away I just wish that fans and board can start seeing eye to eye.

This is a no brainer really. Sell the kid for like £20m, pick up Scott Parker for almost nothing and give him Nasris wage. I recon a motivated Parker is like 50 times better than a greedy french mup. As for Fab, if he wants to go, sell him. Thanks for everything and good luck. Same goes for the Dane and Eboue. This could give us up to £60-70m to get in players like Jags, Mata, Cahill. Otherwise, please take your coat Mr. Wenger, you’ll find the tube station in Gillespie Road on your left hand side.

August 2, 2011 at 4:56 pm
The alternative is to sell Nasri now for the top price he can get and get Parker & Barton for next to nothing. We can then afford the world class defenders we need so very badly and let Cesc go too. I think we would then be very hard to beat.

Please my fellow arsenal fans, i rather we should not bleme nasri or cesc for their decition, let us insted put our legs on their shoe, the joy of every player is not all about money, but trupheys. Fab has spend many years with us but nothing to boast for, they are great players that need some joy like other players. Most of his mate even people behind him are now medal’s holders. Wenger should instruct Song to remain in 4, should not leave, get good defenders not djuoru and squlacci. Please mata, cahil and jejieka are good choice to boast the capabilities of the club. Thanks

Pls. all those old crap supporters should just keep quiet. we need to spend on quality players if arsenal want to be great again. Big & great club are known by winning trophy and that is Barca they playing good football too. Playing without trophy is useless. So stop all your 1930, 1970‘ bullshit!
