TRANSFER NEWS: Defender Issues Come-And-Get-Me Plea

Birmingham’s Scott Dann has refused to commit his future to the Midlands side after recent speculation linking the 24-year old to Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.

The talented defender is expected to leave St Andrews this summer with a whole host of Premiership clubs chasing his signature, and he admitted he would like to play at the highest level.

“Obviously I’m an ambitious person and I want to play at the top level,” Dann told Sky Sports News. “Everyone who knows me knows that.

“I don’t really want to comment on speculation. Things have been said in the press and it’s always like that.

“Up until now I’m still a Birmingham City player.

“Obviously players have moved on and I’m still here. Until anything happens otherwise I’m still a Birmingham player. I can’t say much more really.”

The promising defender has been slapped with a £12million price tag with the Championship club desperate to cash in on the defender. Stoke have already had a bid turned down for the player, with the Potters offering £10million for Dann plus team mate Cameron Jerome.
