[VIDEO GOALS] Arsenal & Spurs Target Mata Scores Outrageous Flick As Valencia Beat Hamburg

By on August 3, 2011

Juan Mata is being tracked by North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham, and his price tag may have risen by an extra few million after his clever goal for current club Valencia last night. Mata opened the scoring with an outrageous flick as Valencia went on to beat Hamburg 2-1. Mata was made captain for the evening, perhaps a way of temping the winger to stay on with the Spaniards. No value increase for me. Let him stay in Spain for what they’re asking.

One goal, however ¨outrageous¨it is, does NOT a superstar make nor for that matter increase his value at all. What matters is his ability to slot into AFC’s starting 11 and make a difference in improving the team both defensively and offensively. This is, as yet, to be verified, but you can bet your bottom dollar or pound that AW is determining his real value right now.
