REPORTS: Spurs Submit Bid For Arsenal Target

By on August 4, 2011

Tottenham have made a formal offer for Blackburn defender Christopher Samba, according to reports.

The giant defender was heavily linked with local rivals Arsenal earlier this summer, but speculation has gone quiet recently with Arsene Wenger turning his attention to Everton’s Phil Jagielka.

Spurs are thought to have submitted cash plus players for the 27-year old, but details of the players offered in return have yet to be disclosed.

Samba has already stated in the past he wants to play for a team challenging for silverware and Champions League football and Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is hoping to make Samba his second summer signing after the club brought in Aston Villa stopper Brad Friedel.

It seems that spud’s scouting policy is go for any player that Arsenal is interested in. That is shameful.
