Transfer News: Arsenal & Spurs Dealt Major Blow As Target Staying Put

By on August 5, 2011

Juan Mata is staying with Valencia according to coach Unai Emery. The winger has been subject to a £14million bid from Arsenal with local rivals Tottenham also interested in the 23-year old.

Juan Manuel Mata Rodriguez the Spaniards father and agent, claims the Gunners original offer was rejected by Valencia but fully expects the club to submit a new improved offer for the player. However, Emery believes Mata will stay with Los Che next season.

“Mata has gone through a process of doubts about his future,” Emery said after the winger scored Valencia’s first goal in a 2-1 victory over their Bundesliga opponents.

“But now we all believe he will stay at Valencia.”

A.W. is a degrace to the transfer market. When ask for a player who cost 20million, he’ll say I pay 10million. If the term is agree, he’ll sumit bid of 8.5million. did you realize such thing? is he in the market to buy or look for incompetence young french player who play for eight seasons and will not break into first team? Arsenal needs to be sold or wenger should be replaced with an ambiteous coach.

I believe Wenger,Stan and Ivan should do something urgently and bring the Spaniard:Mata at the Emirates be4 the tranfer window closes but most notably b4 the start of next season and also b4 naming the Champions League players so that he is integrated and included in the list for surely we need his services at the Arsenal!Wenger do Something!I know there is plenty of cash but I wonder why he’s that reluctant and unwilling to give out the required fee for such a player!

The amount of times Valencia have changed their mind in the past few weeks is amazing next week he will be defnitly for sale then he will apparently sign a contract extension and end up being sold. This is just a ploy to get as much money as they can which they are entitled to. Dont listen to what all the papers are saying because they all have ‘inside information’ which conflicts with what the other papers say. Roberto I would sooner trust a man who has had over 10 years of the actual transfer market than someone who gets all his information from what he reads in the newspapers. He has also kept us in the top four while being the only club in that group to actually spend what the can afford to spend. When City, Chelsea, United, Liverpool and the Scum go into massive debt Arsenal will be left the only top club able to spend money. It is the impatience and stupidity of people like you that could jeapordise that and honestly who would replace Wenger. The only manager who would possibly be a step up would be Mourinho.
