Champions League Draw 2011: Arsenal Face Udinese

By on August 5, 2011

Arsenal will face Udinese in the Champions League Play-offs with the lucrative group stages waiting for the winners. The Gunners will play the first leg at the Emirates on the 16th August, with the return leg a week later on the 24th.

The second leg will be sandwiched between Arsenal’s crucial premier league fixtures against Liverpool and Manchester United.

Failure to qualify would be a small disaster for Arsenal, as they would lose out on a reputed £20m windfall just for reaching the group stages.

Yeah.Udinese would be a good test for us.although the threat posed by them would have been weakened since they have sold Sanchez.

Could’ve been worse, Rubin Kazan would have been a horrible trip. Luckily Udinese have weakened since last season. They do still have some quality players though, and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
