Chelsea Ace Taking Inspiration From Man Utd Legend

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard says he is not even contemplating retirement. The Blues veteran is certainly entering his twilight years but the 33-year old has no concerns with his age.

Lampard admits he looks to Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs for inspiration, the  United legend is now 37-years young and boasts over 20 years of top flight football.

“You look at your contract and how long you have left and I will always want to extend it while I am fit enough and good enough at the job,” he told Chelsea TV.

“I understand Paul Scholes and Gary Neville when they feel their time is up, they are not as happy as they used to be or they are not playing as much, and they take that [retirement] decision but I am always of the mindset – that I am sure Ryan Giggs probably is – that you are a long time retired and we love and are very fortunate to do what we do, so the longer you can do it at the top level the better.”
