Liverpool have confirmed the exit of attacker Milan Jovanovic to Anderlecht, via social networking site Twitter.
Jovanovic’s transfer was widely expected, but it’s the unusual step taken by Liverpool to officially announce the deal on Twitter rather than their website that is surprising. Here is a screenshot of the tweet:
The move brings to an end a disappointing spell at Anfield for the Serbian. Liverpool are expected to make the news official on www.liverpoolfc.tv shortly, but perhaps more clubs will begin to make official announcements through social networking sites in the future.
