Fergie Praises Nani & Reveals He’ll Start Against WBA

By on August 9, 2011

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson insists Nani will start next weekend ahead of their opening game against WBA.

After the arrival of Ashley Young this summer rumours emerged linking the winger with a move to Serie A and La Liga. However, Fergie was delighted with Nani’s contribution last term and insists he will start next weekend.

“Nani had a fantastic season last year,” said Ferguson. “He contributed 18 assists and scored nine goals.

“He was unfortunate that Antonio Valencia came in at a time when we needed a bit of freshness”.

But you have seen Nani’s form in pre-season. He will start the season.”
