By on August 9, 2011

Rafael van der Vaart admits Dutch teammate Wesley Sneijder would love to play in the Premier League and wouldn’t be surprised to see if him in a Manchester United shirt next season.

The Inter Milan playermaker has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer but both clubs continue to deny talks are ongoing. The Spurs ace believes the former Real Madrid midfielder would relish life in the Premier League:

“Of course he would like to play in England, it’s the biggest league in the world,” Van der Vaart told Sky Sports News.

“He is a good friend of mine and we have contact almost every day. He knows what to expect in the Premier League.”

When asked if he will be playing against Sneijder this season, he replied:

“I hope not because Man U are going to be stronger.

“But he’s a great player and he fits in well at Man U.”
