Spurs Striker Fires Warning To Rest Of League

By on August 13, 2011

Jermain Defoe is determined to get his career in front of goal back on track after a disappointing season last year.

The England striker only scored nine goals in all competitions and is determined to get back into striking rhythm this campaign:

“It was the first season where I’ve had injuries and it’s been so up and down,” Defoe told the Spurs website.

“It was really stop-start and I couldn’t get going, couldn’t get into the rhythm that I normally get into. That’s why I’m looking forward to this season and to get off to a good start.”

This is good news for us and bad for defenses. He suffered from a bad ankle injury where it can take a lot longer than two months to heal. When he came back Harry had changed our way of playing with Van playing of Crouch and it worked til ace passer Huddlestones bad ankle that had bean giving him trouble all seasonfinaly gavve way and he was out for four months,This also affected Defoe who has benefited fromy Huddlestone passing over the years. Modric and Van tend to shoot themselves taking good chances of Defoe and Missing. Lets hope big Toms akle is fully healed d Defoe and co benefit

You go Defoe… As a spurs fan and even as a football fan, I have never doubted your quality or ability. In the 09/10 season you were phenomenal and hopefully you can get back to that and prove all your doubters wrong.
