Gunners Target Admits: “Arsenal Are A Great Club”

By on August 16, 2011

Marseille’s 21 year-old winger, Andre Ayew has praised Arsenal among rumours they may be interested in signing him as a replacement for the soon to be former Arsenal player, Samir Nasri.

Arsene Wenger has set out on a mission to find a replacement for Nasri, who is thought to be close to agreeing a move away from Arsenal, and the Ghana international attacker is said to be on Wenger’s list.

After playing in his sides 2-2 draw with Auxerre on Sunday, Ayew said:

“Arsenal are a great club, but I am not thinking about that at all. I am focused on the game and Marseille, what happens, happens.”

The player appeared 50 times for Marseille last season, scoring 13 goals and assisting 3. He has an £11.5 million release clause in his contract with the French side, and according to the Metro newspaper, Arsenal are preparing a bid for him and French midfielder Marvin Martin using the money from the Cesc Fabregas sale to Barcelona. We will see.

My problem is dt I can’t fathom d mindset of Wenger. How can u lose 3 super regular players without thinking of adding adequate replacement? Is he tired of silverwares?

Ayew is already a winner. He has the right mentality to get arsenal to remain an elite club! Every coach that has ever coached him loved him for a reason
