REPORTS: Chelsea To Launch Tempting Third Modric Bid

By on August 17, 2011

Chelsea are returning with a new improved £30million bid for Luka Modric, according to recent reports.

The Sun reports that Andre Villas-Boas is concerned with the lack of creative in the middle of the park and will offer Spurs £30m cash plus Yossi Benayoun.

Harry Redknapp and Daniel Levy still appear adamant that the Croatian international will be playing at White Hart Lane next season but Chelsea’s latest offer may prove too much to turn down.

Redknapp is thought to be an admirer of Benayoun but doesn’t see the 31-year old as the natural replacement for their mini maestro.

Spurs fans will be desperate to keep Modric as they look to get back into the Champions League this season and keeping Modric will be essential if they are to challenge the Premier League big spenders.
