Tottenham winger Gareth Bale is hopeful his injury problems are behind him and is looking forward to pushing on this season.
The Welsh star struggled in the second half of last season with ankle and back problems limiting his match action. However, the 22-year old was happy with his rehabilitation in his native homeland after a good injury free preseason. He said:
“It’s been a good pre-season for me. I haven’t picked up any injuries.
“I’m back from my ankle injury and I feel strong.
“I’m definitely looking forward to the season now. I did my rehab in Cardiff so I could back fit for a tough pre-season and that’s important to any player.”
