Redknapp Claims Deal “Probably Will Happen”

Harry Redknapp is confident Tottenham can secure the services of Manchester City’s Emmanuel Adebayor claiming the deal “will probably happen.

Spurs are hoping to sign the former Togo international on a season-long loan with manager Harry Redknapp. The former Arsenal striker is out of favour at the Eastlands and spent the second half of last season on loan to Real Madrid. Redknapp said when asked about the Adebayor deal after the victory over Hearts:

“I honestly don’t know. The chairman deals with that.

“I’ve never spoken to the player or Manchester City or anybody there.

“He (Levy) will be dealing with that at boardroom level.

“It seems to have been progressing along and it seems like it probably will happen, but I’m not 100 per cent sure.”

I am extremely pleasantly surprised at a genuine and honest article. At the moment I am on the ground recovering. Thanks.
