Goal Against Man Utd Made Lukaku Support Chelsea

By on August 20, 2011

New Chelsea signing Romelu Lukaku admits it was Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s effort against Man Utd that convinced him to follow Chelsea.

The Dutch ace played over 130 games for the Blues and Lukaku admits it was a particular goal almost 11 years ago against Manchester United that convinced him of his desire for Chelsea.

“I used to watch Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink scoring goals and remember one against Manchester United, the volley at Old Trafford, and I decided I wanted to support this team,” Lukaku told his new club’s official website.

Lukaku’s own footballing talent was such that he soon began to fantasise about emulating his idols.

“I dreamed to play here since I was 10 years old, thinking about shaking hands with all those players like John Terry and Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba,” he added.

“It’s amazing to arrive here in a big club with big ambition. It was just what I was searching for.”

If you saw his video on youtube when he came to the bridge a couple years ago you’d know he ain’t bullshitting, besides he only had eyes for Chelsea when he wanted to move to a bigger club, he’s gonna be a Chelsea legend along with McEachran who’s said he only ever wants to play for Chelsea

I’m fearing that chelsea has not signed for midfielder apart from youngster from Barcelona.I have feelings that can affect the midfielding position due to absence of Essien!
